One thing I dislike about Hemmings is that all of the coolest cars I find have either one picture or really tiny pictures.

for one that's not a 63, it's a 60 imperial in the picture. Price is a liitle bitif both. If there is any trim that is bad or broke you are screwed because there is little to no aftermarket source and finding original stuff is hard to find. I know this from tracking down stuff for our custom

With a quick look it does look like like a '60 but it isn't such. It's a '63 with wings and trunk section of a '60. The weird headlights can be seen even from the small picture and the body molding is also from '63. The ad said it was "some what personalized"...

While I was googling for comparison pictures. I found another picture from the same car.

I thought something looked wrong. Interesting that the boffins over at Hemmings didn't catch that. In any event, that would be a great cruiser to have.

And '68 Camaro stuff is hard to find? I'd have thought there would be an entire industry.

no Camaro stuff is easy, unless you want NOS stuff. No my grandfather and I restored a vintage custom. It's a 56 Chevy with a 57 chrysler 300 headlights and 60 Chrysler 300 tail lights. So I was always looking for replacements incase we did damage to ours or just to have and early chrysler stuff is pretty much non existant.

I usually rail against those who take a vintage car and change things, but I like that. As if you needed my permission. But that is one handsome ride.

I suppose if I owned a '69 Camaro SS (my personal favorite) I'd want NOS unless there was no other way.

don't worry about the custom is been in that form since 1960 and custom since 1957.

Yeah plus nos stuff is just better. I've used pretty much all nos stuff on my 68 because the pieces of aftermarket I did put on went to crap quickly. Luckily I started with a super nice original car so not much needed replacing

In college I had an old Volvo - 142S. I gave up buying aftermarket parts. I either went to the junkyard (they had a few carcasses - got a fuel pump, a couple window mechanisms (try putting those in), and a couple pieces of glass) or the dealer and paid dearly for the parts in the blue box. But they worked every time.
